I bought a bike for $1,500 so I could turn it into a chopper. Bought the Seeger kit and it should be up and running (hopefully) in a month.

The kit is good quality but they don't really seem to know technically what to do with the Savage - I called to ask how I was suppose to torque the 'new' axle - the regular axle has a bolt head on the end - the new doesn't. The guy tells me (with a tone in his voice like I'm a complete idiot) to torque the nut! I told him "It's a Savage, it doesn't have a nut. The new axle screws into the left fork - not to a nut." He then realizes with the new axle (which is set up the same as the Savage rear axle - round with a hole) that I can't torque it. He says "Don't worry about it - just tighten it down so the wheel spins freely".

I've figured out a way to actually torque (still modifying the tool) the axle.

Two other things - Seeger tech told me that they won't be making anymore of these for the Savage soon (that was about four months ago).
And don't bother with their seats - great craftsmanship on the leather and all - but it won't fit the Savage. I still have to figure out what to do with it (but I'll get it to work somehow).

And when it's done, it will be worth it (to me).
